Leslynn Angel Bio:
Leslynn Angel is the President and CEO of Michigan United Cerebral Palsy (MI-UCP). Ms. Angel has been employed with MI-UCP since 1991 and has held the position President & CEO since 2005.
Founded in 1949, MI-UCP is one of over 65 independent, state and local non-profit affiliates of United Cerebral Palsy Associations (UCPA). The mission of MI-UCP is Empowering all people with disabilities throughout Michigan.
Ms. Angel’s involvement with MI-UCP has stretched to the national level as part of United Cerebral Palsy Association Employment Team, providing technical support to the Department of Labor funded One Stop to Success project. Prior to her current position she was Vice President of Programs where she was responsible for overseeing all programs at MI-UCP. In addition, she was the coordinator of the Social Security funded Benefits Planning Assistance and Outreach Project, Rehabilitation Renaissance Project and Coordinator for the UCPA Choice Access Project in Detroit, MI.
She is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of nonprofit management and extensive experience in grant management, program development, fundraising and successfully leading a non-profit during challenging economic times.
